San Pedro de Alcántara and Marbella

Located between Marbella and Estepona, this traditional Spanish town has flourished in the last decade. Less well known than its near neighbours, this bustling town is being fully redeveloped and benefits from not only the fantastic Boulevard, opened around 10 years ago, but various other walkways, including a whole new area to the East of the town, close to where the apartments sit.

Walk down to the beach and you have the Paseo that allows you to walk to Puerto Banus and onto Marbella.

From a practical point of view, San Pedro has a range of shopping options – an updated Mercadona, an Aldi about to open, as well as the usual Carrefour Market and Carrefour Express. The usual late-night supermarkets are available as well as an invaluable 24-hour pharmacy. Also available is the newly opened medical centre. Furthermore, there is a municipal sports centre with pool and also another new sports complex about to open.

A 15min drive gets you to both Marbella and Estepona but there is plenty to see and do closer to home – stroll along the main boulevard or the many different plazas and enjoy the truly international feel of this place.

San Pedro is also well connected for public transport with a variety of local buses, as well as express buses to Malaga airport.

Centred around the Boulevard are various festivals of food or music throughout the year.  Furthermore, the San Pedro Feria is now held in a purpose designed area away from the town and is a fantastic local event yearly.
