For sale direct from the owner
This beautiful country finca has been a labour of love for the current owner and is presented in “walk-in” condition throughout. The property comprises a main house with spacious accommodation and a separate 1 bedroom guest house which is self-contained and comes with a tourism license.
The gardens, land and outside space are what makes this home very special – a number of different terraces, patios and seating areas as well as a BBQ area provide room for relaxing and entertaining at different times of day, all through the year.
The land area is approximately 20,000M2 and comes with a wide range of trees including orange, lemon, avocado, olive and fig trees. The current owner harvests the avocados each year and generally receives up to €1,000.
The property is an ideal proposition for people who want to make a permanent move to the area and generate income from the guest house. Equally, this self-contained 1 bedroom house could also be used for friends, family visiting or extended family or teenagers.
The property is a very comfortable year-round home with heating from wood burning stoves and cooling comes from ceiling fans – there is no need for Air/Con as the breezes in the summer provide a comfortable environment even at the height of summer.
The location of the house really is one of the key reasons why we know this house will generate interest – a peaceful position with amazing panoramic views and yet it is just 1km to the village of Yunquera. The current owner walks into the village regularly although it is uphill – the good news is that it is downhill on the way home!
The village of Yunquera has long been very popular with lots of local amenities and being midway between the larger towns of Coin and Ronda, you have everything on your doorstep.
The property has so many benefits – here are our pick of the bunch…

The accommodation of the main house and guest house…
The main house is set across two floors and offers very spacious accommodation with a large and stylish modern fitted kitchen which also has a soft seating area at one end.
The kitchen comes with all the usual appliances including a range style oven, plenty of storage space and black granite worksurfaces.
The living room has a feature fireplace with wood burning stove and provides a cozy space to enjoy all year round. Stairs rise up to the first floor and a doorway leads through to the second bedroom on the ground floor.
A separate dining room is located the other side of the kitchen and has direct access to the front terrace which works perfectly when entertaining.
Finally, on the ground floor is a useful shower room and utility room with access to the outside.
On the first floor of the main house is the owner’s master bedroom suite which includes a large double bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe with fully fitted storage units, a dressing table and this, in turn, leads through to the en-suite bathroom. This has to be one of the largest bathrooms we have ever seen and features a large corner bath, a separate walk-in shower, double wash hand basins, a bidet and WC.
There is certainly space to create a further bedroom on the first floor but the current layout works perfectly for the owner and you will be hard pushed to find another property that offers this much space and comfort.
The guest house is completely separate from the main house and measures 80M2 which provides plenty of space for guests, be they friends, family or paying visitors.
The guest house has its own entrance and private patio area ensuring visitors can enjoy peace and seclusion and there is no interference with the main house.
There is a spacious living room with wood burning stove, a separate fitted kitchen with full oven, washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer and plenty of storage units. Again, the worksurfaces are granite.
Up a short set of steps is a large double bedroom with built in wardrobes and a separate bathroom with full bath and a walk-in shower.
Outside space, gardens and land…
The land area amounts to 20,000M2 of land and slopes down the valley to a river at the bottom. The land is terraced and has been planted with a variety of trees including orange, lemon, avocado, olive and fig trees.
The area around the house is more formal with many planted borders and lots of indigenous plants and cacti. There are various terraces for relaxing, dining and entertaining. The main terrace is large with two stone tables and seating for at least 12 covered by a gazebo. The BBQ area is perfect for large gatherings and there is built in storage as well as three separate grilling areas.
There is an irrigation system in place and the property has use of the water 5 days out of every 14 for agricultural purposes. There are two small water deposits that service the land and a large deposit that could be used as a swimming pool.
There is a lovely stream and waterfall at the bottom of the land.
There is also another parcel of land measuring approximately 10,000M2 which is opposite the entrance to the property. This land could be used (subject to the usual permissions) for the erection of a wooden cabin or perhaps for the planting of further trees. This land has terrific views down to the coast and is south facing so it could be used for all manner of purposes to suit new owners. The land is held on a separate deed to the main property and therefore can be sold separately but can also be bought as part of the main property.
Summary…
This is a delightful home which has been nurtured and improved in the last 18 years by the current owner. The property has many features which make this a comfortable year round home and it has the flexibility to accommodate guests.
The location is the best of both worlds – peace and seclusion but not isolated. Just 1km from Yunquera, you can integrate into the local village and benefit from all the amenities it has to offer.
We see many country houses of course but this one has captured our hearts and we would thoroughly recommend a visit if you are in the market for a new home in Spain.
