If you were to ask someone to describe a perfect Andalucian country home, this property would come fairly close to meeting that description
Built by the current owners in 2004, the property sits in the most tranquil and idyllic spot sitting high above Beznar Reservoir surrounded by mountains and olive groves. The gardens have been meticulously created over time to create a variety of tranquil outside areas that complement the interior accommodation perfectly. On the land, there are around 120 Lechin olive trees that produce a healthy crop that in turn produces a delicious oil and the owners have previously exported this to the UK.
This is very much a family home that has been created with love and attention to detail in every corner. Rich, earthy Mexican colours set the theme for the interior decor and the house has been designed for the varied Andalucian climate: cool and calm during the hot summers and cosy and heartwarming in the winter.
♦ 4/5 bedroom country home built in 2004 by the current owners

♦ Well designed layout with flexibility for new owners – create separate accommodation or B&B rooms
♦ Beautiful gardens, great outside space and surrounded by olive groves
♦ Large garage and storage space

♦ Underfloor heating, double glazing and many modern comforts
♦ Large swimming Pool – solar heated
♦ Stunning views, peace and privacy yet within walking distance of Pinos del Valle
The accommodation is set out on three floors and offers a great deal of flexibility. It would be very easy to run a boutique bed and breakfast business here allowing for privacy for all parties, both guests and owners.
Ground Floor
The main front door to the property opens into the main reception area – an open plan space made up of an entrance area with bold staircase leading up to the first floor, a dining room with open fire and a beautiful kitchen. Doors open onto the large verandah at the back of the house from where there are breathtaking views over the surrounding landscape.
Gracious living room with open fire and a door to the study/5th bedroom. Ground floor WC.
Also on the ground floor, but accessible via the verandah, there is a large guest room with ensuite bathroom.
Lower Ground Floor
This floor was used by the current owners as the family floor with two spacious bedrooms for children, with private bathroom. This floor could be used for guests if the new owner wanted to generate an income. There is an enormous garage with space for 3 or 4 cars. Boiler/utility room, hobby room and access to the gardens.
First Floor
The first floor is dedicated to the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom – a lovely, tranquil space with views on every side. From the first floor landing, there is a door onto a large roof terrace that is strengthened to allow for the addition of another bedroom and bathroom if required, so there is still the option for further accommodation.
The grounds in which this property sits are a particular feature as they have been so carefully created. These are not over-manicured gardens; rather, the owners have taken the natural landscape and created complementary areas that blend seamlessly into the surroundings. There are concealed terraces and walkways that reveal peaceful oases with their own special views.
The large swimming pool has just been retiled and is solar heated.
At the front of the house there is parking for several cars and access to the garage on the lower ground floor.
Pinos del Valle and the Lecrin Valley
The house is located in the beautiful Valle de Lecrín, nestled at the bottom of the western edge of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The motorway that runs from Granada to the Costa Tropical runs on the other side of Lake Béznar; the village of Pinos del Valle is within walking distance. The Valley is known as the Valley of Happiness or the Valley of Oranges as throughout the area there are lush orange groves; in blossom season everywhere is filled with heady scent.
You can drive to the coast in 30 minutes, and into central Granada in 30 minutes. The Sierra Nevada Ski Station is within an hour’s drive and Málaga Airport is an hour and 30 minutes’ drive away. Granada Airport is 40 minutes away by car.
In summary: a beautifully conceived and maintained family house in an idyllic location and with the flexibility to be used or adapted for some form of tourism-related income generation.
