The property used to be the school house for the local community in El Chopo and prior to that was also a chapel to serve this rural scattering of houses.

Layout of the house…

The property is entered through the main door into the huge double height living space. The room is huge with vaulted and beamed ceilings and triple aspect with double doors leading out to the swimming pool terrace and BBQ terrace.

The doors and windows provide an enormous amount of light and a real feeling of space.

There is an upper level within the living room which is used for dining and the lower level is more for relaxing and is gathered around the feature fireplace.

Outside space and land…

The house has various terrace areas to enjoy sun or shade and the pool terrace was newly refurbished in recent years.

A huge, covered terrace is located on the south side of the property and is perfect for relaxing and dining with plenty of space for everyone. The views from this terrace are glorious – surrounding countryside and all the way down the Guadalhorce Valley to Malaga and the sea.

The pool terrace is large with storage cupboards, a BBQ area and of course, the swimming pool itself.

Gardens surround the house with plenty of colour throughout the year. Mature plants, a variety of trees including almonds and olives and planted flower beds give the house a homely feel.

Parking is available next to the house and there is space for several vehicles including a motor home.

The location will not be for everyone…

The property is surrounded by peace and privacy but this is a community of houses in a small hamlet, so you never need to feel isolated.

There are some close neighbours and others further away, but one thing is common with all – they are very welcoming and friendly. When you talk to the neighbours like Antonio, you’ll find out that many of them knew the property as the old school for El Chopo which gives you an insight into the history of the property.

The property is located approximately 7km from the main Almogia to Villanueva de la Concepcion Road – roughly 18mins drive along a mix of tarmac and gravel track.

Almogia village is 11km away and 24 mins by car. An historic village with all the facilities needed for daily life including a supermarket, bank, post office and medical centre.

Malaga airport is approximately 40kms and less than an hour by car and offers huge numbers of flights to destinations across the world.
